Memorial Fund
When a loved one dies, many people choose to honor their memory by making a financial contribution to St. John's Memorial Fund. These donations are placed in a special account, and are used for items and needs that are beyond the normal operating budget of the church. Memorial fund money is used for items that are permanent or long-lasting and will enhance the life and worship of the congregation. For example, Memorial Fund donations may be used to replace paraments or communion-ware or to purchase new items such as banners or a projector.
When donations are made to the Memorial Fund, the family of the deceased is notified and a thank-you is sent to the donor. Special Memorial Fund envelopes and cards are available at the church. Donations may also be mailed to St. John's with a note informing the church that it is a memorial and including the name of the person being honored.
